I almost Format not faint
Dun ask me how it happened.. It just happened.. Somehow i was tidyin up my laptop and disabling services when i realised.. Right click folders/files in explorer will crash explorer.
Did the follow:
1) Scan for virus, spyware, etc..
2) Went registry editor to play w the registries
3) Reboot and reboot after each test
4) Google all over the place for help
5) Restore to last week's system restore point
6) Run Disk check
7) argh... Enough. I'm formatting, so do all the necessary backups
8) Decided to give it 1 last shot, restore to 1 mth's ago system restore point and IT WORKED!
Faints... Spent 3 hours on the above le. Lucky for me XP has a system restore feature and i have automated restore point.
