Company pinic in a corn maze

Ella in maze

Yup, we just came from from my company pinic where it's held at a corn farm that has a maze shaped like Washington State. Link to the site: http://thefarm1.com/

Before going, i was feeling a little weird as i'm only a temporary staff and may feel out of the way. But the idea of a corn maze and attending a true-American pinic sounds more tempting. So we 2 headed to Snohomish for the pinic on sat.
The weird thing is only a handful of staff turned up with a lot of family members. Again, it re-emphasis the fact that Americans are very pro-family. It's totally unlike the perception we had of Americans before we came over. Kids were having fun and adults were enjoying the pleasure of spending the beautiful sun with each other.
The colleagues were grilling burgers, sauages and roasting corn in a corn roaster. Ok. it's the first time i see a corn roaster that's a mobile vehicle and even have it's own car license plate. Too bad, i was too busy eating that i forgot to take a picture of it. The interesting thing is the corn turned out superb. It's not grilled, reminds me of smoking and made the corn super good even without salt and butter. They provided butter but a lot of people forgo it to eat it in it's natural state, just rip out the husk and sink ur teeth in. We followed how they ate it, and it was yummyy..
After the eating, all of us were asked to sit on this wagon where they bring us to the corn maze. Bales of hay serves as the chairs and it was fun. The interesting thing is the corn maze is a direct replica of Washington state. The paths are all the highways and all labelled. They even have boats, bridges, dams to represent the actual things u see in areas. They have a little printout of describing the history on each momument oo.. Interesting thing is they even have highway closure to mimic the actual real-life situation. We had fun walking around in the cowboy hats that was provided.
