Our long flight back to Singapore

We managed to buy cheap air tickets to go back Singapore for Chinese New Year. Next comes the long flight. 14 hours from Seattle to Taipei, 1.30 hr transit time. It will be a good 24hours before we reach our destination if you include time at the airport, etc... Not only that, we have a baby, carseat, stroller to carry, which is why we need to limit our luggages. In the end, we made it to only 2 big luggages to lug. Yep, by far, that's the least amount of luggage we brought back so far to Singapore.

So how did we fare? Or should i say Emily? Well, apparently the airplane sound soothes her and she slept really well inside the bassinet, except that we needed to cover her under the nursing cover. She needed the darkness from all the distractions.

What about us? We both joked that this was the single night that both of us slept the most ever since she was born. I only watched 1 movie and slept thru the entire flight. Usually, i would have watched 6-7 movies. But this time round, the minute Emily slept, we slept too since we ain't sure if she's going to fuss later.

Here's the bassinet, which was a life saver since we don'y have to carry her throughout the flights.

Hee, Emily spending some quality time with daddy by sleeping in his arms.

Here's Emily at the Taipei airport nursing room. It's super cute, so cute that we decided to change her diaper although she doesn't need a change.

The entire trip was pretty pleasant. We had priority in boarding the flight. At the Taipei side, the EVA people came to us to help us pack the stroller and carseat, yep, they haven't started boarding and we ain't near the gate also. At the Singapore customs, there were long lines and one officer waved us to go to the counter at the side. Yep, we were cleared out of the customs in record time.

Now, let's hope the return flight will be just as smooth.
