Round 2: Skiing which closed eventfully

Snowdusted ella and Derrick
We went skiing today again as we wanted to practise more on the magic carpet before the next lesson. Yes.. for ur extra info, magic carpet is the gentle slope beginners learn and there's those conveyer belt that can bring up up some distance on that slope.

It snowed the whole day and it was great. The soft snow certainly was much better condition to ski. I think in all it snowed ard 4-5inches today. It was pretty fun and not as bad as the first time. Well.. This time, we didn't go up the lift or the beginner's slope, we just practised many times at the magic carpet area. I needed the practise. At least now i could slow down, break, do slight turn and not look down. Yes.. There's a tendency to look at ur skis/ feet.

Things that need to improve on is walking up slope, getting up after falling, do bigger turns.. Hee.. Derrick "supervised" my learning of coz.. I do badly at skating, so i'm rather happy that i could do this.

All was fun and good. We decided to leave for home ard 4 plus as we were tired as we've been at the slopes since 9am. Some events that came after that..

Event 1: Unlocked car but missing car key
Seeing the thick 4-5inches of snow, i couldn't resist starting a snow fight. Now, ended up the 2 guys bullied me.. Yes.. Including Derrick.. The funny part was, our driver 'lost' the key after the snow fight. So we are stuck.. Yes, car doors and boot are opened but we couldn't locate the key. By some pure luck, i swipe the snow on the floor and i saw something black.. yeahh.. ella found the key.. What kind of luck right?? seems in the midst of the snow fight, our driver dropped the key with the snow.. lol

Event 2: Cars going out of control
We were stuck at the ski area for 45min and didn't even get to the highway yet. The snow has caused a layer of ice under the snow and many cars were skidded. Yes.. In fact, it was a nerve-wrecking drive.. At the filter lane going up the highway, 2-3 cars have skidded and banged into the snow walls. We were going slowly and there was this car stuck. At that point, we were wondering whether to get off to help push. Before we could help others, our car got stuck in the snow and kinda lost control. As we were very near the snow wall, it was kind of scary. Derrick and i got off to push.. we were lucky...

After a short distance, another car in front struggling to move off to the highway too and it's 1 passenger was trying to push it. We got off again to help and some other passengers came too. 1 lady said, it's best to detour back to the ski resort as without chain tires, it's no luck. We returned to the car but somehow, the rest continued to push. by some pure luck, u see this car skid left, right, manage to get up the highway..

phew.. that was close... I think maybe we had 4 people in the car, with the weight, it helps to keep the car in control..

Event 3: Left lane blocked on the highway
Yes.. a trailer has skidded and rammed into the leftmost lane. Now. it's lucky that no other cars were involved. It's those big monster trailer and it had rammed into the small divider on the bridge. Had it ram any harder, i think it would have falled off. Phew.. Now, how did the trailer get to the left lane? They are supposed to be on the rightmost lane. We are guessing, it had skidded from the rightmost lane to the leftmost lane and onto the bridge wall..

I'm glad that nothing happened to us and that the day went well.. Snow is a pretty thing but it sure is dangerous..
