Lamb rendang
lol, i just realised i forgot to blog about how the lamb rendang turned out. Thanks to my sis prompting that i realised this.
About the lamb rendang:
Sedap! They turned out really soft and yummy. Totally reminds me of mutton curry back home in Singapore. When i was at the Shalimar grocery store to buy the lamb, i also picked up a pack of naans. The naans though a little too doughy/thick in my opinion, goes pretty well with the rendang.
Derrick thinks the lamb rendang taste similar to the beef rendang that we usually cook. I told him his tongue is spoilt as he can't tell the difference. I on the other hand, thinks that the lamb is nicer than the beef.
As for the diference between lamb and mutton:
Lamb is a sheep less than a year old, typically slaughtered between the ages of four and twelve months. Older sheep is called mutton and has a much stronger flavor and tougher meat that many find distasteful
