Taiwan Day 2 - Hualien
We were staying in this beatiful B&B in Hualien called Roseland. It's near the city and very conveniently located. Loved the clean and beautiful decor. Not overly decorated with roses. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

We have booked a driver through the hotel. They found us a driver Mr Chen who's recommended by Mr Lu. Mr Lu is the highly popular driver recommended online but we didn't book Mr Lu as the general comments is that he's too busy. And since we were looking for driver at the last minute, we figured that we won't get him. Mr Chen is a very nice and patient driver. He took us to Taroke Gorge aka Marble Gorge. And explained all the sights to us and brought us to Mochi Factory upon our request. He also recommended us to this Exploding Onion Pancake, a very popular street side stall, that has egg inside the onion Pancake. Very fabulous, in fact ranked as the best food for our entire taiwan trip. Too bad, we didn't take a picture of it, but it was really really good. Kudo to Mr Chen for recommending us that.
Cliff at Taroke. You can see the colour difference as the warm and cold water meet at the Pacific Ocean. Beautiful...
Dam at Taroke. The water is greenish because of the marble. Reminds me of those chinese fairy views. And indeed a lot of those fairies scenes were shot at Taroke.
Can you see the Indian Chef in the picture? Clue: It has a green Indian chef Hat
For anyone that haven't been to Hualien, Taiwan. It's definitely worth a trip going.
