Our 6th year anniversary

Time really flies, it's been 6th year anniversary. And this year, instead of dining out, we decided to buy filet mignon steaks from Omaha Steaks http://www.omahasteaks.com/. Well, we been seeing advertisements about buying these gourmet steaks and wanted to give it a shot. I think it must be pretty amazing to folks back home in Singapore that we ordered meat off the internet and to have the meat shipped out in a few days.


Here's the box waiting for us that was dropped off by UPS.


The meat remains frozen hard because of the super big dry ice inside the box.


Here are the 6oz filet mignon that took 1 day to defrost.

Tada... the finished platter. Complete with potatos and corn.

The steak was yummy but a little lacking in flavor. Maybe we should have seasoned the meat 1 day ahead. But for the next anniversary, we are definitely dining out instead. Save the time and effort. This has been a fun experience though.
