We bought a new car
Here's a picture of it that i took off honda site in the exact titanium color.
And yes, we are pampared. We loved the moonroof on our current car and moonroof became a requirement for this new car. And needless to say, moonroof = Top Trim = $$$$. I guess we could have bought the Honda CRV for a much lesser $ if we didn't want the moonroof or the heated leather seats. But we felt that the moonroof was a must and with the upcoming baby, leather seats would be preferred.
Yep, we bought this second car for the upcoming baby. It will be difficult to put the baby seat in the back of our coupe and it will be more convenient to have a second car too. We kinda decided that our second car would be a SUV/ crossover a while back.
And we test drove all the SUV/ crossovers with base price under USD$30,000. Yep, base price = cheapest trim. This way we can compare the base models and decide how the drive feels, etc.. Yes, over a course of 4 weekends, we test drove all of them and actually narrowed it down to Chevy Equinox, Honda CRV, Mazda CX7. This was the order of our choice.
Chevy Equinox was out as apparently chevy now stop production of the cars 6 months before the release of the 2011 cars. That means, there's practically no stock available not to say even try to bargain for a good price.
Mazda CX7 was out as it's turbo engine which means it needs premium petrol and also it's the least fuel efficient among the 3 of them.
Yep, we now own 2 Honda cars and the controls are similar, so not too much trouble switching between cars. And no, we haven't decided who owns which car although Derrick says i own the new car and he owns the red car. Let's just say, whoever have the baby will drive the CRV. Not that i don't like the new car, it's just the red car is more fun to drive in.
I was chatting with a friend of mine in Singapore and he commented that it will be impossible to own 2 cars in Singapore. I guess cars are cheaper here but not exactly dirt cheap also. Now that we have a SUV, time to hit the roads for some camping trip soon.
