What should we do this weekend?
No plans yet and it does seems that summer is unoffically over. After several weeks of heat, we are back to the cool and cloudy Seattle weather.
Derrick asked if i will cook kueh chap. Well. dorothy blogged about a whole list of Singapore food at http://www.dorothyho.com/2010/07/i-wish-to-state-for-the-record-that-i-cannot-cook-these-foods-and-heres-why-2 Derrick said that i could cook most of the items on her list. And i feeling over the moon on hearing that, told Derrick that i will cook whatever he pointed out from the list.
2 weeks ago, Derrick chose bar chor mee and tao suan. It was pretty ok, except that we are missing the bouncy fresh fishballs. I'm fussy about my standards although everyone else seemed to enjoyed the meal.
Now that derrick chose kueh chap. I cooked this and also braised pork before but i feel like challenging myself to cook some pig intentines. Not sure if the supermarket sells them. Time to hit the supermarket and see what exactly i can buy from there to cook this dish.
