i didn't know i could cook a mean hokkien mee
Remember that i cooked prawn mee a while back? Well, i froze the remaining soup in the freezer and Derrick's been threatening me to throw it away since it's taking up space in the freezer. My mama gave me a brilliant idea to cook Hokkien mee with the prawn soup.
Well, i never cooked Hokkien mee before, so this is my first time. Bought squid, prawns, beansprout, noodles and rice noodles. Did some quick online recipe search and apparently it calls for lard. Since i don't have any lard and i used bacon as a substitute.
It turned out.... Super yummy. Of course with the sambal chilli. Although i forgot to add the eggs into the noodles thoug, but it was really good. Guess this dish really needs the prawn soup to make it yummy.Definitely going to try cooking this for others again.
