argh, Singapore apps can really get on my nerves

ok, warning: Look away if you mind me complaining about Singapore.

I just spent the last 2 days trying to renew pfingo, a VOIP internet call service that i use to call home daily. Yep, unlimited outgoing and incoming calls for SGD$8.80.

The freaking website kept giving me error. At first i thought it was because of IE9 and i tried setting it to compatibility mode. Still same error. Same deal with firefox. Tried again the next day and same issue.

Fed up, i emailed the support team and guess what?

Appparently the error means that their "special" fraud detection is blocking me. They assume a Singapore issued credit card cannot have an overseas mailing address. What????? Ermm... i have a valid Singapore issued credit card with a USA mailing address. What's the problem here?

Well, apparently their fraud system wouldn't allow it. So i have to cheat by using a Singapore mailing address which i'm pretty sure they do nothing with it. If they do verify the mailing address, the transaction wouldn't have gone through.

Now that's the super lame part of this.
