It's quiet at work these days

It's the holiday season and everyone is OOF = Out Of Office. i think that's a Microsoft term that's commonly used. When i first started work there, i hear every1 say OOF and i didn't understand it.

When i mean every1, it's really everyone is OOF. My product i was working on, successfully shipped on Christmas Eve and every1 needed a good break after which. As for me, as i'm a contractor, i'm technically required to work. So i dutifully report to work these days and do some reading for the next phase. So it's really quiet at work..

It's interesting now that i look back at the product shippings i have gone thru. Back in Singapore, when a product of mine ships, we were "required" to be in office or on standby for the day. Whereas over here, when it's shipped, it's shipped. And time to pop the champagne..

I don't miss the work back home but i do miss the people and the time we spent together. To the friends back home who are still working hard blindfully, i have an advice for u:

Take a min off to admire the weather today, remember to spend some time with family and close ones..
