Day 1 in New Orleans - Part 2

After lunch, we walked around the place to work off the lunch. Yes, the weather was hot, super hot ~90+ fahrenheit which is almost 30 degree celsius.


You really have to applause all the street performers in this heat.


Next, a wow experience inside the Basilica. Apparently there's very few churches that have been granted this status by the pope and we are so glad to be in one. The decorations were sooo grand.


Next, what better way to view the city than to take the streetcar. It's a tram that takes you around the city.

Lastly, before we call it a day. We had dinner at this cafe

We had fried catfish sandwich and crayfish. Well, all the fear about eating seafood despite the oil spill. Everyone around us were eating in the seafood and no one seems overly worried about seafood.

It was a pretty fun day walking in the heat discovering the city.
